Dinosaur World, FL

We have seen the signs for this attraction for as long as I can remember while traveling down I-4 between Tampa and Orlando. However, this is the first time I have actually been inside. I was really going without much expectation for good or bad, just treating my knights after studying our dinosaur unit. I was pleasantly surprised by this park. For the most inclusive ticket with all the bells and whistles (or fossils and gem mining in this case), it was still under $20 per kid!

I lost count of how many life-size dinosaur statues we saw, but it didn’t get old taking in the scale of these extinct creatures. The majority of the park is statues tucked into Florida habitat. It is shaded, paved walkways, so very accessible. It did get a bit warm, but hey, that’s Florida. There are vending machines mid-way down the walk, but they are cash only. The gift store at the front of the park sells a few refreshments. I highly recommend bringing at least one bottle of water per person into the park and some snacks for the little ones.

Though most of the park is outdoor statues, we also enjoyed the playground for the big kids and the playground for the little kids as well as the indoor fossil museum and animatronic scene.

We will likely go back to this park. It is affordable, fun, easy, dog-friendly, and the boys loved it!

The entry way to the parking lot.
The carnivore section with the king himself, T-Rex!
Lots of photo opps
A few covered picnic areas with several tables. Very clean!
The carnivore section was a little intense but there was a warning.
They talk about the gem mining as much as anything else. They both filled a larger bag than I expected with little gems snd a piece of fool’s gold.
Getting into the big kid playground
The gift shop is huge! And they have gifts for kids and adults in every price range.
“Digging” for fossils
Huge wooden puzzle
