LEGOLAND-and now we are pass holders

We have been to LEGOLAND three or four times in the last 7 months. Y’all, everything is awesome (cue Lego Movie theme song)!

Rides

This park has lots of rides that everyone in your party can ride. The themes are cute and all based on Lego characters from movies, cartoons, and play sets. The lines are pretty short, even on busy days. There is a medieval land, duplo land (for the youngest family members), Lego Movie, Ninjago, pirates, techy, the girly legos. Within each of these areas are rides that most everyone will enjoy.

Characters

If your knights love the mini figures, they will love the meet and greet opportunities throughout the park. My boys especially loved meeting the space guy. There are also several statue-type Lego creations with various themes and some that are just fun.

The Water Park

For just a little more money you can add on the LEGOLAND water park. There are opportunities to cool off in water rides, splash pads, and mister fans throughout the park, but the water park is a fun change of pace and chance to cool all the way off. There is a baby pool with a baby slide, a lazy river, and slides of various heights. My college-age princesses all the ways down to my knight that hated water on his face loved this area. There are ample restrooms, changing areas, lounge chairs, and lockers in this area, as well as a place to buy food and drinks.

The staff

I have had wonderful experiences with their friendly and helpful staff (“model citizens”) in food services, ride operators, store clerks, guest services. I can’t think of one complaint. That’s saying a lot!

DEALS!

We have never paid full price. There has always been a coupon code, promotion, or discount. You can also upgrade your day pass to an Awesome or Awesomer Pass by just paying the difference at the end of the day or even after you leave.

Theme Hotel On-site

LEGOLAND has two hotels at the entrance of the park as well as a beach resort a short drive away. The theme in these hotels is next level. These may be a bit pricey but it looks like they have taken every detail into the land of Lego and made an unforgettable experience. We plan to book a stay in the near future.

Exclusive Merchandise

The Lego sets, stuffies, and mini figures you can find across this park are so much fun and some are only found at LEGOLAND. We purchased a Batman Lego set for age 4+, a Minions set for 7+, and a Central Perk Friends set this time. Our college princess started on her set as soon as we got back to my parents house. All the sets were together before noon the next day. We also saw a grand piano, several Star Wars and Harry Potter sets, as well as castles and pirate ships of all ability levels.

Lego Models

There is a huge area dedicated to Lego models of Vegas, Daytona 500, Orlando, DC, and NYC. Most of these sections have interactive features or some kind. Guests can make people dance the conga in the Miami models or make water guns shoot at themselves or other buildings.

There is also a nod to Cypress Gardens, the historic park purchased and remodeled to create LEGOLAND. Some of the gardens remain and there are Lego models of the southern belles that used to roam the sidewalks for photo opps. There is a pirate themed water show in a nod to the Cypress Gardens ski show, but definitely fully Lego now.

LEGOLAND is located in Winter Haven, Florida surrounded by restaurants, shopping, and hotels all sandwiched between a couple of the several lakes in the area.

In case you were wondering I’m not getting any perks from LEGOLAND for this review. I just really love their park!
