My six year old just lost his first tooth. How is this possible? My husband had to work late so I was sort of on my own for this very important fairy job.
Here is what we did… but first I suggest you decide all this and get everything prepared while the tooth is just loose so you don’t have to scramble like me!
The tooth was placed in a zip top bag under the pillow since I hadn’t gotten any cute pillow or made a box. But he was happy and it was easy to find, though a bit noisy.
Next you need to decide on the price for a tooth. I’ve read some great ideas, but in the end we decided on $10 dusted with glitter (you can spray the bills with hairspray for a bit of stick and then pour a bit of glitter on) for the first tooth along with a little tooth-shaped note I created on my computer. I freehand cut the tooth shape and made sure to stuff any evidence deep into the trash.
I think it’s fun to pretend with my kids about the tooth fairy. Whether you choose to or not, find a way to celebrate this big kid milestone!
